Summer Tot Music Registration Slated

Registration for City of Sitka Parks and Recreation ‘‘Summer Tot Music’’ opens noon Wednesday, May 7,  at http://recreation.cityofsitka.com.

Classes are available for students ages 6 months to 5 years. The class, taught by Hannah Cummiskey, will introduce participants to a wide range of musical topics including basic music, solfege, songs, percussion instruments, rhythm, singing, and more. No musical experience is necessary.

Two sessions are available: June 6, 13 and 20; and July 11, 18 and 25.

Classes will meet Friday mornings at Blatchley Middle School. Scholarships are available and should be applied for prior to registering. For information, contact Sitka Parks and Recreation by email at recreation@cityofsitka.org or by phone at 907 747-4031.
