If reports are to be believed, actor Suriya and Nazriya Nazim are set to team up for Malayalam film maker Jithu Madhavan’s upcoming film. The speculated news has brought in much excitement among fans of the stars, as it marks their first collaboration together.

Although there’s been no official word from the makers, reports have suggested that that discussions to have the actress on board is still on. For the unversed, the two were set to team up for Sudha Kongara’s film. However, the film eventually got stalled.

This news come just weeks after Suriya began shooting for his upcoming movie with director Venky Atluri, tentatively called Suriya 46. The film features Mamitha Baiju as the female lead.

Interestingly, Suriya will also work on Vetrimaaran’s Vaadivaasal.

Jithu Madhavan won fame after his debut film, Romancham. The director followed it up with the acclaimed blockbuster Aavesham. Starring Fahadh Faasil, the film made over Rs 150 crores at the box office.

Nazriya was last seen in the blockbuster Sookshmadarshini released last year, while Suriya’s upcoming film Karuppu, directed by RJ Balaji, is in the post-production.

Jithu Madhavan’s Upcoming Film

Manjummel Boys filmmaker Chidambaram’s next directorial, written by filmmaker Jithu Madhavan, has been titled Balan: The Boy. The film’s title poster, unveiled through social media a few weeks ago. The collaboration has already gained attention due to the director’s and writer’s new-age films. Chidambaram has got his core technical team from Manjummel Boys, with Shyju Khalid at the camera, Vivek Harshan on the editing table, Sushin Shyam composing the music, and Ajayan Chalissery overseeing the production design.
