IT solutions firm Tech Data has expanded its partnership with HCLSoftware, the software business of HCLTech, to cover new markets in the Asia Pacific and Japan. The two organisations will be building on an existing agreement in Hong Kong; the expanded collaboration will now include India, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Thailand.
To be sure, Tech Data is part of a technology distribution company, TD Synnex, that was formed by merging the former and Synnex. Through this partnership, HCLSoftware seeks to transition to a distributed-led model globally. Tech Data is strategically positioned to accelerate the adoption of HCLSoftware’s offerings across a wide range of industries.
“In Asia Pacific, demand for software solutions is projected to grow at 14.11% CAGR and reach $ 571.46 billion by 2030. HCLSoftware’s enterprise-grade software solutions will enable our partners to meet rising customer needs in areas such as digital workplace transformation, enterprise security, and AI innovation, backed by Tech Data’s local expertise and support infrastructure,” said Anand Chakravarthy, Vice President of Advanced Solutions, Tech Data APJ.
As part of the partnership, Tech Data will provide distribution and support for HCLSoftware’s leading portfolio, including HCL AppScan, BigFix, Commerce, Domino, and Workload Automation, among others. Partners across the region are also expected to benefit from Tech Data’s local presales and technical enablement resources.
In July, HCLSoftware announced that it had partnered with the Swiss Network in India, represented by the Embassy of Switzerland, the Swiss Business Hub India, and Swissnex in India, to join the Indo-Swiss Innovation Platform.
The Platform, established alongside the Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA) framework, is expected to lay the foundation for bilateral collaboration to strengthen digital infrastructure and strategically boost Indo-Swiss collaboration.
