Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said the Musi rejuvenation, Hyderabad Metro expansion, Regional Ring Road (RRR), and radial roads are key to the State’s progress. He invited Telugus in Japan to share ideas and also invest to realise the dream of making Telangana the symbol of development.

The Chief Minister, who addressed, a programme organized by the Japan Telugu Samakhya there in his honour on Saturday (April 19, 2025), said the infrastructure initiatives of his government were vital not just for urban development but also for attracting investments, boosting industries, and creating employment opportunities.

Sharing insights from his recent observations in Japan, the Chief Minister noted the impressive riverfront development in Tokyo. Drawing parallels to Telangana, he stressed the need for urgent action to clean the Musi River, despite some opposition.

“Musi cleaning should be done in Hyderabad or else we will end up like New Delhi where all institutions are being given holidays due to pollution. If a city like Delhi, from where the Indian Government functions, can be crippled by environmental neglect, don’t we need to learn a lesson?” he questioned.

Diaspora urged to contribute to Telangana’s development

Outlining his government’s strategic focus, he called for collective responsibility and public cooperation and asked the diaspora for their cooperation in the development of the State. Saying that deep satisfaction comes from contributing to the progress of their native region, he invited them to share ideas with the State government.

Highlighting the progress made in key sectors, Mr. Reddy said that the State made good progress in the Information Technology (IT) and pharma sectors. Now, the time is to aim higher and bring industries of global standards to strengthen the infrastructure and environment leading to employment.
