Tennco appoints Mahender Chhabra as India CFO – news

Boasting 27 years of finance expertise, Chhabra will lead financial strategy, operations, compliance, and performance, guiding the organisation to achieve long-term growth and stability.

Tenneco, a global automotive supplier, announced the appointment of Mahender Chhabra as the new Chief Financial Officer for its India operations, effective immediately. In his new role, Chhabra will be responsible for overseeing the financial strategy, operations, compliance, and overall financial performance across Tenneco’s various businesses in India.

These businesses include Clean Air, Monroe Ride Solutions (MRS), Champion Ignition, and Powertrain (Bearings and Sealing). He will report directly to Arvind Chandra, CEO of Tenneco India, and will collaborate closely with the leadership team to achieve the company’s strategic, financial, and operational objectives.

Mahender Chhabra’s Background

Mahender Chhabra brings over 27 years of comprehensive finance leadership experience to Tenneco, garnered from working with global automotive and technology companies. Before joining Tenneco, he served as the Chief Financial Officer at Motherson Sumi Wiring India Limited. His distinguished career also includes senior finance positions at HMD Mobile India, Microsoft Corporation (India) Private Limited, Bharti Airtel Limited, and Pepsi Foods Limited.

Chhabra’s expertise extends to serving as a group controller and business controller in high-growth organisations, where he successfully spearheaded financial transformation, compliance, and business planning initiatives. Academically, Chhabra holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Maharishi Dayanand University and is a proud member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
