Thailand-Cambodia war: India issues travel advisory – World News
Amid the ongoing conflict along the Thailand-Cambodia border, India has issued a travel advisory for seven provinces in Thailand. They include Ubon Ratchathani, Surin, Sisaket, Buriram, Sa Kaeo, Chanthaburi and Trat. The Indian Embassy in Thailand issued the notification on their official X (formerly Twitter) handle and shared, “As per Tourism Authority of Thailand places mentioned…are not recommended for traveling.”
In view of the situation near Thailand-Cambodia border, all Indian travelers to Thailand are advised to check updates from Thai official sources, including TAT Newsroom.

In Ubon Ratchathani tourist attractions include Phu Chong‑Na Yoi National Park (Na Chaluai), Kaeng Lamduan (Nam Yuen) and Chong An Ma Checkpoint (Nam Yuen). In Surin, travellers have been advised to avoid, Prasat Ta Muen Thom/Tod, Prasat Ta Kwai, Prasat Ban Pluang, Prasat Phum Pon, Chong Chom, Phanom Swai Forest Park and Phanom Dong Rak border zones.
In Sisaket, Khao Phra Wihan NP (Pha Mo I Daeng), Chong Sa‑ngam and Border areas near Kantharalak & Phu Sing are under the “to avoid” areas. Buriram, a popular tourist destination includes, Chong Sai Taku, Ta Phraya NP and border zones near Ban Kruat & Lahan Sai are sensitive areas.
Similarly in Sa Kaeo, Ban Khlong Luek Checkpoint and Rong Kluea Market along with Prasat Sdok Kok Thom and border zones near Aranyaprathet & Khlong Hat should be avoided. Chanthaburi and Trat has sensitive destinations like Ban Laem & Ban Phat Kad checkpoints.
