Shelbourne boss Damien Duff has echoed the criticism from his managerial rival Stephen Bradley by insisting that there’s a problem with those in charge of the game in Ireland, with Duff claiming that it’s the FAI who are the “problem child” of Irish football.
In terms of his own club’s affairs, it’s been an ideal start to 2025 for Duff’s team as Shelbourne made it two wins from two games thanks to a 1-0 victory away to Waterford on Friday night. Tallaght lad Mipo Odubeko came up with the only goal of a tense game, 14 minutes into the first half as Waterford rued an easy path towards goal from Sean Boyd, whose cross into the box was met by Odubeko.
