Hurry Up Tomorrow, the latest project from The Weeknd, is both a major commercial success and a real disappointment, depending on the format. The full-length music album debuted high on charts across the globe earlier in 2025, bringing the musician back to No. 1. The film that accompanies it, which hit cinemas only days ago, has proved to be a flop and will almost certainly lose millions.
Even as the feature underperforms, the music — which has always been what brings people to The Weeknd — soars once again in the United Kingdom.
The Weeknd’s Hurry Up Tomorrow Rebounds
The Weeknd’s Hurry Up Tomorrow has become a huge commercial success once more in the U.K., bounding back onto four key rankings. The project breaks into the top 10 on three of them, reaching the uppermost tier on the Official Vinyl Albums, Official Physical Albums, and Official Albums Sales lists, where it returns at Nos. 6, 7, and 8, respectively. It also finds its way back to the Official Albums chart, only a bit lower, at No. 25.
The Weeknd Returns to No. 1
The Canadian superstar’s latest full-length doesn’t need to reappear on the Official Hip-Hop and R&B Albums chart, as it was already present on that genre-specific tally last week. This frame, however, Hurry Up Tomorrow jumps from No. 17 to No. 1, returning to the summit and earning another stay at the top.
The Weeknd’s Film Flops, But the Album Benefits
Hurry Up Tomorrow – the album – is on the rise for several reasons. The release of the film is surely helping the music gain traction, even as it underperforms at the box office. With considerable media attention focused on both The Weeknd and his latest artistic effort, fans are turning their attention to the title once again.
Hurry Up Tomorrow was also recently released on CD and vinyl, which prompted longtime fans of the Canadian powerhouse to pick up a copy in the thousands. The surge has turned the set into a bestselling release and a top performer once more.
