Three films chosen for Newton Aycliffe mobile cinema
The cinema will roll into town on Tuesday, July 29, before returning a month later. The mobile cinema will be based on Beveridge Way.
Three family-friendly films will be screened from 10:30am: The Emoji Movie, Disney’s Encanto, and Matilda. Seating will be available for up to 70 people, with free entry for all.
Robbi Waugh, centre manager for Newton Aycliffe Town Centre, said: “If successful, this could become a recurring feature in our town’s calendar. Something we can all look forward to.”
On the three films chosen to be shown at the cinema on Tuesday, a spokesperson for Newton Aycliffe Town Centre said: “We may not talk about Bruno, but we’ll definitely sing about him, and telekinesis not guaranteed, cake-eating encouraged.”
The mobile cinema will provide seating for up to 70 people, with residents and visitors invited to come along, grab a chair, and enjoy the films.

There will also be movie snacks on offer, including hot dogs, waffles, milkshakes, and of course, popcorn.
The mobile cinema will be free and open to everyone to attend.
