The demand for compressed natural gas (CNG) has been at an all-time high. Taking a leaf out of this, we list the five most affordable CNG vehicles available in the market.

Renault has taken a leaf out of Honda’s book by offering its cars with a CNG option. Unlike manufacturers like Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai, the CNG fits will be fitted by authorized dealers with a three-year warranty and not by Renault. Renault has not revealed the power output figures, but the CNG kit will be mated to the 1-litre naturally aspirated engine trim. The standard petrol version churns out 68 bhp at 5500 rpm and 92.5 Nm at 4150 – 4350 rpm. The CNG kit costs an additional Rs 79,000. The petrol version starts from Rs 4,69,500 to Rs 6,44,500, ex-showroom Delhi.
