‘Totally mannerless… lack of discipline’: Bengaluru man seen working inside movie theatre | Trending News

In recent years, among other things, Bengaluru has come to be known for its impossible traffic and high-paying but taxing corporate jobs. The skewed work-life balance of the city’s residents often gets a bad reputation when photographs of people working on their laptops in odd places make their way to social media.

A similar photo is going viral once again. On Friday, X user @neelangana shared a photo of a man using their laptop inside a darkened movie theatre as a film is about to start.

While sharing this photo, @neelangana wrote, “When #Jawan first day is important but life is #peakbengaluru. Observed at a #Bangalore INOX. No emails or Teams sessions were harmed in taking this pic. @peakbengaluru”.

In the comments, many people pointed out that using a laptop inside a theatre might disturb other cinema-goers. An X user wrote, “Did you complain? Imagine driving through traffic, spending half a thousand for a few hours of entertainment…and getting someone in front of you who decides to do this. I do like the hybrid model of work, but this is peak precarious hybridity.”

Another person noted, “WFH prevails all over India not just Bangalore! Also it’s totally mannerless and there is a lack of discipline to disturb other movie watchers watching movies peacefully! I would have called bouncers and escorted you out”.

An X user observed that this behaviour is very common in the city. He wrote, “Bangalore in an image”.

This is not the first time that such a photo has gone viral. In April, an Instagram page, Bangalore Malayalis (bangalore_malayalis), shared a video of a man in a theatre working on his laptop while watching a film.
