Tottenham Offered Chance to Sign ‘World-Class’ £325,000-a-week Star

Tottenham have been offered the chance to sign Bayern Munich forward Leroy Sane on a free transfer this summer, Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol has revealed.

The Lilywhites have reportedly been alerted to the former Manchester City star’s upcoming availability, after Sane rejected a contract offer from Bayern to extend his expiring deal.

The Germany international has turned down a proposal worth £250,000 per week including bonuses to prolong his stay in Munich, but remains in talks with the German club, who are keen to keep him.

Turkish giants Galatasaray are also believed to be interested in the 29-year-old forward, though his move to Istanbul appears unlikely at present.

According to Sky Sports, Bayern are not expected to improve their offer for Sane, despite their desire for the German winger to extend his stay at the Allianz Arena.

Premier League clubs are also ‘reluctant’ to meet his wage demands, given that Sane turns 30 in January, despite the forward’s willingness to return to England for family reasons.

Sane, praised as ‘world-class’, has been a regular under Vincent Kompany at Bayern this season, making 45 appearances across all competitions, scoring 13 goals and providing six assists.

The £325,000-a-week star finished the Bundesliga campaign on a particularly strong run of form, registering seven goal contributions in his final nine appearances.

Tottenham have been handed a major boost to their transfer plans following their Europa League victory, which means the North London club will be playing Champions League football next season.

According to GIVEMESPORT sources, last week’s win in Bilbao has particularly boosted Spurs’ confidence in their pursuit of Crystal Palace star Marc Guehi, who was the subject of a £70m bid in January.
