Travel to Rajasthan via Vande Bharat Express trains: key details on routes, timings, and dates |
Rajasthan just got a lot closer to Delhi! In a move set to delight rail passengers, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today flagged off two new Vande Bharat Express trains via video conferencing, one connecting Jodhpur to Delhi Cantt, and the other linking Bikaner to Delhi Cantt. Both trains promise faster, more comfortable, and hassle-free travel between the desert state and the national capital, making them a game-changer for commuters, tourists, and traders alike. Railways Minister Ashwini Vishnav, took to X to announce: Launch of three new rail services for a developed Rajasthan! Jodhpur–Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express
As per the IndianRailways.gov.in, the Jodhpur–Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express (Train No. 26481/26482) will begin operations from 27th September 2025. It will operate for six days a week (except Tuesdays). The train will depart from Jodhpur at 5:25 AM, making stops at Merta Road, Degana, Makrana, Phulera, Jaipur, Alwar, Rewari, and Gurgaon, before reaching Delhi Cantt at 1:30 PM. The return journey will start at 3:10 PM from Delhi Cantt, bringing passengers back to Jodhpur by 11:20 PM, making same-day round trips possible. Bikaner–Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express
On the following day, 28th September 2025, the Bikaner–Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express (Train No. 26471/26472) will start operating, also six days a week (except Wednesdays). Departing Bikaner at 5:40 AM, it stops at Sri Dungargarh, Ratanagarh, Churu, Sadulpur, Loharu, Mahendragarh, and Gurgaon, arriving at Delhi Cantt at 11:55 AM. The return leg departs at 4:45 PM, completing the journey back to Bikaner by 11:05 PM. Covering 448 km in just about 5 hours, this train significantly trims the current travel time of over 7 hours.

Both Vande Bharat Express trains are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities including Wi-Fi, mobile charging points, bio-toilets, comfortable seating, and a pantry car.
