Delhi University Vice Chancellor Prof. Yogesh Singh (Vice Chancellor Prof. Yogesh Singh) inaugurated the new session 2022-23 of the School of Open Learning. New courses were also launched on this occasion. Speaking on the occasion, the Vice Chancellor said that in the Diamond Jubilee Year of the School of Open Learning and the Centenary Year of the University, six new courses are also being started under the Department of Distance and Continuing Education (DDCE).
Employment potential will increase manifold
The Vice Chancellor of Delhi University said that after 28 years, six new courses are being added to the SOL curriculum. These new courses being started for UG and PG will be based on employment oriented and professional syllabus. The Vice Chancellor said that this year, for the first time in the history of Delhi University, management and some other professional courses are being started through DDCE at both UG and PG levels. It will set a standard by providing inclusive and quality education to all. With these UG PG courses, the employability of the students will increase manifold and this will help them in taking strategic decisions.

At the same time, the Director of School of Open Learning, Delhi University (DU), Prof. Payal Mago (Prof. Payal Mago) while giving detailed information about all the courses said that every year about five and a half lakh students take admission in SOL. After these new courses, the number of students will increase. Except MBA, the number of seats in all the five new courses has been kept unlimited. 20 thousand seats have been approved in MBA. Admission to these seats will be done on the basis of merit.
