New York. External Affairs Minister of India S. Jaishankar spoke openly on India’s development journey in New York. He not only praised it fiercely, but also described this journey as a wonderful one. He told the achievements of India to the guests in the program organized here. He specifically mentioned the Corona case and talked about India’s strategy to deal with it.

This morning, the world talked about India at the event. But after the journey of the last 75 years, everything has changed. India is today the fifth largest economy in the world.
Everything changed in the 20th century
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said that till the 18th century the picture of India’s development was different. The GDP of India alone was one fourth of the GDP of the whole world. But, everything changed after that and colonial rule began in the middle of the 20th century. It made our country one of the poorest countries.
Whole world is one family – Jaishankar
Not only this, he reiterated the country’s commitment to the United Nations Organization and its charter. He said that India will decide the bright future of the world. For this, it will strengthen its partnership with the United Nations. This is his commitment. We have full faith in the principles of the Charter of the United Nations. We consider the whole world as one family.
Benefit from digital technology
He said in the program that these days the country has benefited a lot from digital technology. In the country, the benefits of more than 3 billion dollars are reaching the public through digital technology. More than 400 million people are getting regular food and more than 2 billion vaccines have been administered.
