These buses are very luxurious and comfortable. Actually the purpose of running them is to shift the people driving in the car to public transport.

DTC is going to provide another special facility to avoid congestion and travel with these premium bus seats in Delhi. In these buses, ticket booking will be done through the app or web only and everyone will get a seat. According to the Delhi government, this will be the first time in India, when luxury premium buses will run on the roads of Delhi.

The purpose of running luxury premium buses in Delhi is to provide a better travel experience to people commuting daily for office and work. The government will not decide the route to run these buses, but the aggregators will do it on the basis of traffic. However, the Delhi government will have to inform about it. Whereas, the aggregator will decide the fare of premium buses according to the market. In these buses, ticket booking will be done from the app or website itself and everyone will get a seat. Delhi government has finalized this scheme and sent it to LG for approval.

Many facilities will be available including Wi-Fi
These premium buses will have many special facilities including Wi-Fi, GPS, CCTV, panic button. However, the fare will be higher as compared to DTC and cluster buses. The government has made many facilities mandatory for these buses. Giving information about the premium bus scheme, the Delhi government said that traffic in Delhi has increased a lot due to private vehicles. If people traveling on cars and bikes have to be taken on public transport, then we have to run better buses in terms of comfort and safety. Middle class families had started traveling by Metro instead of trains. Due to this there was a lot of reduction in the number of vehicles on the roads of Delhi.

According to CM Arvind Kejriwal, there are buses of DTC and clusters in Delhi, but there is no guarantee of seat in these, so the journey is not as comfortable as the upper class expects. These premium buses will run only in Delhi. Each bus will have the capacity to seat more than 12 passengers.
