Turkmenistan and Chad discussed development of bilateral relations

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov held a meeting with the Minister Delegate to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Chad for African Integration, International Cooperation and Chadian Affairs Abroad Fatima Aldjina Garfa. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The Turkmen side thanked the delegation of Chad for participating in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Countries (LLDC3), noting the importance of this event for promoting sustainable development and international cooperation.

The diplomats emphasized the potential for developing bilateral relations in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian fields. During the talks, the possibilities of participation of delegations from both countries in events planned for the current year were discussed.

Particular attention was paid to the upcoming International Forum of Peace and Trust, which will be held in Ashgabat in December in honor of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality. For her part, Garfa invited Turkmen representatives to consider participating in events within the framework of the Chad Connection 2030 project.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue joint work to develop Turkmen-Chadian relations in all areas of mutual interest.
