TVK chief Vijay alleges personal motive to T.N. CM Stalin’s visit to Delhi

Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president Vijay on Sunday alleged that Chief Minister M.K. Stalin had used his recent visit to attend the NITI Aayog meeting in New Delhi as a pretext to meet the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to “protect his family” from investigations by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

In a statement, Mr. Vijay said when the alliance between the AIADMK and the BJP was revived, the TVK had referred to the “covert alliance” between the DMK and the BJP. Similarly, the TVK had said that whenever action was taken against a corrupt individual, they would immediately travel to New Delhi and all the wrongdoings of the individual would be “covered up,” he said.

“In line with that Mr. Stalin had also visited New Delhi in the wake of investigations launched by the ED in TASMAC…Last year, when the NITI Aayog meeting was held Mr. Stalin skipped it and outlined the reasons for not attending. Those same reasons still hold relevance. So why did he attend this time? The reason was pressure from the ED,” Mr. Vijay alleged.

“It won’t be surprising even if the DMK enters into an alliance with the BJP in future. Such is the extent to which the DMK has looted Tamil Nadu and submitted itself to the BJP…The people of Tamil Nadu will unseat the DMK from power in 2026 and the TVK will come to power,” he claimed.
