TVS Srichakra launches Eurogrip Trailhound tyres for high-end motorcycles in India

TVS Srichakra Ltd, the manufacturer of the Eurogrip brand of tyres, launched its Trailhound range of tyres in India on Monday.

The internationally acclaimed tyres come in two variants: Trailhound SCR, designed for modern-classic roadsters, scramblers, and café racers, and Trailhound STR, developed for medium and large adventure motorcycles.

P Madhavan, Executive Vice President, Marketing & Sales, TVS Srichakra Ltd, said, “Following our international launch of Trailhound tyres at the EICMA auto show in Italy, we are happy to introduce them in India. Trailhound enhances our premium product range, and its SCR and STR variants are targeted at India’s growing adventure rider segment.”

Excellent stability

Explaining the tyre design, V Sivaramakrishnan, Chief Technology Officer, TVS Srichakra Ltd, stated, “Trailhound SCR tyres have an 80/20 on-off capability, with a tread pattern that improves water drainage and traction on gravel roads while maintaining excellent stability and comfort on the tarmac. The 90/10 tread pattern of Trailhound STR enhances water dispersal, wear uniformity, and grip on gravel and light off-road terrain.”

TVS Srichakra runs a design centre in Milan, Italy and it supports the company’s R&D facility in Madurai, with the tyres tested across Indian, European, and Japanese road conditions.
