It’s a huge weekend for music in the Garden State this weekend. Not one but three giant music festivals will take place in New Jersey.

Sea Hear Now Festival
This event has become a tradition as a climax to the summer music scene in Asbury Park. The beautiful beachfront in Asbury Park becomes the stage for some of the hottest groups and performers today, and thousands will spend the weekend in Asbury attending all the events connected with the show.
This two-day music event combines music, art, and surfing on the Asbury Park boardwalk and waterfront. I’ve covered the show in the past, and it truly has a festival feel with multiple stages and performances happening throughout the day while visitors enjoy art on the beach, surfers in the water, and food everywhere. Music of all sorts takes place morning, noon, and night at Sea Hear Now both Saturday, September 13th, and Sunday, September 14th.

The other music event this weekend is the Outlaw Music Festival, and that is happening Saturday, September 13th, at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the traveling music festival.

The Outlaw Music Festival is a showcase of legends and modern stars in country, folk, and rock music. This year, once again, it is headlined by music legend Willie Nelson and family.
