The Vulcans combined to finish with a 3.54 team GPA and were just one of two teams listed from the Pacific West Conference.
At the end of last spring, Hawaii Hilo women’s soccer was named a Ramon Goya Academic Team of the Year for achieving the highest GPA among the Vulcans’ large-rostered programs (soccer, volleyball, baseball, softball).

Vulcans No. 24
in preseason poll
United Soccer Coaches released its 2025 Division II Top 25 Preseason Poll with Hawaii Hilo women’s soccer coming in at No. 24.
Aside from minor edits, the preseason poll is the same as the final rankings of the 2024 season.
The Vulcans went 14-3-3 last fall in Gene Okamura’s ninth season as head coach, finishing as runner-up in the inaugural four-team Pacific West Conference Championships postseason tournament with a final finish in the NCAA West Regional Second Round.
Cal Poly Pomona claimed the national title and sits atop the preseason poll.
