UIUC scientist Kaiyu Guan named finalist for prestigious Blavatnik Award

URBANA, Ill. (Chambana Today) — Dr. Kaiyu Guan, an environmental scientist at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, has been named a finalist for the prestigious Blavatnik National Awards for Young Scientists, the largest unrestricted prize for early-career researchers in the United States.

Recognized in the Life Sciences category, Dr. Guan was honored for his groundbreaking development of technologies that combine remote sensing, artificial intelligence, and ecosystem modeling to transform modern agriculture.
