UMD women’s hockey ranked fourth in WCHA polls, Gascon named to Preseason All-WCHA team

The honors for the University of Minnesota Duluth women’s hockey team and their players have begun to role in and the season has yet to even begin.

The league coaches have tabbed the team to finish fourth in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association this season.

Last season the Bulldogs finished 22-15-2 in regular season play, ending their season as one of the four WCHA teams to battle it out in the NCAA tournament.

One player on the team in particular has been named to the preseason All-WCHA team, and that is Eve Gascon. Making this the junior’s second time in a row being named to the preseason All-WCHA team.

Last season, Gascon earned a long list of accolades including WCHA Goaltender of the Year, along with being a finalist for the HCA National Women’s Goalie of the Year.
