Union Bears plan ‘Copland Stairs Street Party’ for Rangers vs Bilbao

The Union Bears, a Rangers fan group, have called on supporters to “bring the noise and colour” for the quarter-final clash at Ibrox on Thursday, April 10.

A social media post confirmed the street party will start at 6.30pm.

The Union Bears said: “Copland Stairs – 10/04, 18:30.

“Bring the noise and colour.”

A banner displayed at Ibrox also read: “Copland Stairs Street Party 10/04.”

An earlier post invited fans to gather at the 3 Cheers Pub from 3pm, stating: “Pre-match information for next Thursday.

“We also invite those with ID to 3 Cheers Pub from 3pm.”

The Union Bears previously organised a march to Ibrox, having led a procession before the Europa League tie against Fenerbahce last month.

The group gathered at Cessnock Subway Station at 6.30pm on Thursday, March 13, before making their way to the stadium for the round of 16 second leg, which Rangers won on penalties.

The march saw hundreds of supporters joining the procession behind a Glasgow Rangers branded banner, with Union Bears flags, flares, and fireworks lighting up the route to the stadium.

Rangers will face Athletic Bilbao in the quarter-final first leg at Ibrox on April 10, before travelling to Spain for the return leg the following week.
