Universal Music Greater China appoints Vivian Xu as chief operating officer | Labels

Universal Music Greater China (UMGC) has appointed veteran industry executive Vivian Xu as chief operating officer, effective immediately. 

Based in Beijing, Vivian Xu will report directly to Timothy Xu, chairman & CEO of Universal Music Greater China.

She will work with the CEO and senior leadership team on operational strategies, oversee daily business operations, implement strategic initiatives and identify opportunities for market expansion.

Most recently, Vivian Xu served as managing director at Columbia China, leading successful initiatives in artist development, local repertoire expansion and strategic collaborations with DSP and media partners. 

Prior to this, she held senior finance and operational roles at Sony Music Entertainment China, which she joined in October 2015, overseeing finance, legal, HR, IT, administration, and supply chain functions. Her earlier experience includes leadership positions at Motorola Solutions, Sony Ericsson and Schneider Electric China.
