Gaza – Saba:

UNRWA Media Advisor Adnan Abu Hasna stated Saturday that famine continues in Gaza amid worsening humanitarian conditions due to Israel’s systematic starvation policy implemented for months.

Palestinian Shihab Agency reported Abu Hasna’s confirmation that current aid efforts – including airdrops – remain insufficient against Gaza’s escalating hunger crisis stressing “The only realistic solution is fully opening land crossings without delay”.

He revealed the UN currently has 6,000 trucks ready to enter – enough supplies to cover Gaza’s food needs for at least three months.

Abu Hasna emphasized combating famine cannot wait for a ceasefire but must begin immediately through:
– Unrestricted crossing access
– All food commodity imports
– Commercial sector revival

He demanded urgent medical supplies equipment water/sewage system spare parts stressing “Everything Gaza needs must enter now without exception to save lives and prevent total infrastructure collapse”.

Gaza faces unprecedented famine since Israel’s March closure of crossings and blockade on food fuel and medicine.
