US sends humanitarian aid for flood victims in Pakistan
The United States, through its Army Central Command (US ARCENT), has extended humanitarian assistance to support flood-affected communities in Pakistan.
Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement that six relief flights have been scheduled, carrying essential supplies including tents, dewatering pumps, and generators.
The first consignment arrived on Saturday, where US Charge d’Affaires and the Commander of US ARCENT attended the reception ceremony and formally handed over the relief goods to the Pakistan Army. The supplies will be dispatched to Army Flood Relief Camps for onward distribution among the affected population.
“The Government and people of Pakistan are thankful to the US Government and Military for standing by the affected population of Pakistan in these testing times,” the ISPR stated.
