UWS men’s, women’s soccer selected to finish first in UMAC

The expectation each year at UWS for their men’s and women’s soccer team is UMAC championship or bust. That’s echoed by players and coaches, but also their own conferences.

Both the men’s and women’s Yellowjacket squads were predicted by the UMAC to be at the top of the conference at seasons end. For the men, they received six of seven first place votes and 36 points in the poll of conference coaches. Their coming off their first ever NCAA Sweet 16 appearance. The men begin their campaign towards their 9th straight UMAC title on Friday at home at 3 p.m.

As for the women’s squad, they’re predicted to win their 5th straight UMAC title, garnering five of seven first plates votes. They begin their campaign on Friday as well against Gustavaus Adolphus at 6 p.m.
