Uzbekistan’s FM attends India-Central Asia Business Council meeting

Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov participated in the meeting of the India-Central Asia Business Council held in New Delhi. The event was organized jointly by the Ministry of External Affairs of India and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI).

“Together with my colleagues we took part in the Central Asia – India Business Council meeting in New Delhi, organized by the Ministry of External Affairs of India in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry,” Saidov wrote on his official Telegram channel.

The meeting brought together representatives from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and India. The discussions focused on enhancing regional economic ties and promoting trade and investment cooperation between Central Asia and India.

During the dialogue, participants highlighted the vast potential for deepening economic linkages between the region and India, particularly in areas such as energy, pharmaceuticals, logistics, and information technology.

“This significant gathering, held on the eve of the 4th Central Asia – India Ministerial, brought together representatives from to strengthen economic partnerships and foster regional cooperation,” Saidov noted.

The Central Asia-India Business Council serves as a platform to facilitate private-sector collaboration and bolster inter-regional economic connectivity, in line with broader geopolitical and trade goals shared by the participating countries.
