Varroc Welcomes Akshaykumar Chudasama as New Independent Director to Board, ET Auto

Varroc, a global Tier-1 automotive supplier, has appointed Akshaykumar Chudasama as an Independent Director on its Board of Directors, effective 29 May 2025. The company stated that the appointment is part of its efforts to enhance corporate governance, bring in cross-border business insight, and support its long-term growth plans.

Tarang Jain, Chairman and Managing Director, Varroc, said, “We are delighted to welcome Akshaykumar Chudasama to our Board of Directors. His strategic perspective, legal acumen, and governance experience will be invaluable to Varroc’s strategic growth.”

Background and industry experience

Chudasama brings over 30 years of legal experience. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from St. Xavier’s College, University of Bombay, and an LLB from the London School of Economics, University of London. He is enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa, and as a Solicitor with the Law Society of England and Wales.

Currently, he is Managing Partner at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co., where he leads the firm’s Mumbai region. His work focuses on cross-border mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions.

Commenting on his appointment, Chudasama said, “I am honoured and excited to join the Board of Varroc. I look forward to contributing to its journey of innovation, growth, and global expansion.”
