Italian luxury house Versace, now operating under the Prada Group umbrella, has made its first high-profile executive move since the change in ownership. The brand has appointed Eloise Hautcoeur as global communications director, bringing over 15 years of experience in fashion and communications from roles at Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, and leading agency KCD.

Hautcoeur began her new position at the end of August, officially announcing the role on her LinkedIn account as “global communications director” for the brand. Based in Milan, she will work alongside Caroline Deroche Pasquier, Versace’s vice president of global communications since early 2024. Hautcoeur replaces Mathieu Baboulène, who exited the company this summer to become global head of communications and press at Marine Serre.

Hautcoeur began her fashion career in 2008, working in press departments for various brands before joining KCD in 2015, where she led the London public relations division. She later moved in-house, becoming UK communications director for Saint Laurent at Kering, and was most recently at Bottega Veneta, overseeing communications across Northern Europe.

Versace made headlines this fall during the Venice Film Festival by unveiling the first looks from its newly appointed creative director, Dario Vitale. The brand generated viral buzz by dressing Julia Roberts and Amanda Seyfried in identical outfits—jeans, striped shirts, and navy blazers—which made waves on the red carpet and across social media.

Between a change of ownership and a fresh creative direction, Hautcoeur steps into her new role at a pivotal moment. As Versace’s public profile evolves, communications will play a central role in shaping its future image and positioning.
