ViewSonic launches X1-4K Pro, X2-4K Pro, and SP7 projectors in India with Google TV and 4K HDR support
ViewSonic has expanded its projector portfolio in India with the launch of three new models, the X1-4K Pro, X2-4K Pro, and SP7. While the X1-4K Pro and X2-4K Pro target the home entertainment and gaming segment, the SP7 is positioned for education and business use.
The X1-4K Pro and X2-4K Pro are updates to the brand’s flagship X Series. Both projectors support native 4K UHD resolution, HDR/HLG, and are officially “Designed for Xbox”, with support for 1440p at 120Hz and 1080p at 240Hz, along with a 4.2ms input lag. ViewSonic says the new models are equipped with Texas Instruments’ 0.65-inch DMD chip and ams OSRAM’s 3rd-generation Ostar LED for brightness levels up to 3,300 LED Lumens, and colour coverage of 125% Rec. 709. The LED light engine is rated for up to 60,000 hours of usage.
Both projectors now include built-in Google TV and native Netflix support, allowing users to stream content directly. Integrated Harman Kardon speakers are also included for onboard audio.
The X2-4K Pro features a short-throw lens, capable of projecting a 100-inch image from 1.5 metres, which could be beneficial in small rooms. Installation features include auto keystone, 1.3x optical zoom, vertical lens shift, and 360° projection support.
The SP7 is a lamp-based projector designed for classrooms and meeting rooms. It offers 4,800 ANSI Lumens, a 22,000:1 contrast ratio, and ViewSonic’s SuperColortechnology. It also provides five custom viewing modes (Standard, Photo, Movie, Presentation, and Brightest), and a lamp lifespan of up to 15,000 hours in Eco mode. The projector supports wall colour correction and has features such as sleep timer and auto power off for energy efficiency. All three models are TÜV SÜD-certified for Eye Comfort.
