To bolster its EV ecosystem, VinFast has partnered with RoadGrid, myTVS, and Global Assure for nationwide charging infrastructure and after-sales service. VinFast Auto India, the Indian arm of Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast, inaugurated its first showroom in Surat, Gujarat, marking a key milestone in its India retail journey. The outlet is operated by Chandan Car, a well-known name in the country’s automotive retail sector.
Located in Piplod, Surat, the 3,000 sq. ft facility will offer prospective buyers an immersive brand experience, test drives, and after-sales support. It will showcase VinFast’s upcoming electric SUV models — the VF 6 and VF 7 — both of which are now open for pre-bookings with a refundable deposit of ₹21,000.
VinFast’s entry into Gujarat comes as part of a broader strategy to open 35 dealerships across over 27 cities by the end of 2025.
India Assembly and Strategic Partnerships
The VF 6 and VF 7 models will be locally assembled at VinFast’s upcoming manufacturing plant in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. The facility is part of the company’s long-term plan to make India a key base for EV production and export.
To bolster its EV ecosystem, VinFast has partnered with RoadGrid, myTVS, and Global Assure for nationwide charging infrastructure and after-sales service. It has also joined hands with clean-tech firm BatX Energies for battery recycling and establishing a circular battery economy.
“The first VinFast showroom in Surat symbolises our deep commitment to India,” said Pham Sanh Chau, CEO of VinFast Asia.
