Visku and Studio North nominated for European Brand Transformation Awards
Professional services firm Visku and design advisory Studio North have been shortlisted for three prizes at the 2025 European Brand Transformation Awards. The nominations come after Studio North helped the supply chain consulting organisation to re-design its corporate branding and strategy, following its merger.
Starting in 2008 as Bis Henderson, a logistics recruitment company, they expanded by acquiring a warehousing solutions company, matching businesses with surplus warehouse space across the UK and Europe. In 2017, they added a logistics consultancy, consolidating all services under ‘The Bis Henderson Group’.
Despite this growth, Bis Henderson struggled to gain recognition for its consulting and warehousing services – with clients feeling unclear whether the brand was a recruitment agency or a logistics provider. In a move to clarify the brand’s position in the market. That’s where Studio North stepped in.
After being contacted by Bis Henderson, Studio North’s customer and market research uncovered the confusion; the recruitment arm was overshadowing the warehousing and consultancy services, diluting the brand’s overall impact. As a result, the strategic decision was made to separate the logistics services and unify them under a new brand. The newly integrated Warehousing and Supply Chain Consultancy divisions came together as: Visku.
The rebrand was driven by a robust strategy, built by both members of the firm, and Studio North experts. Visku’s consultancy services aim to bring visibility to stock control and logistics operations, while its warehousing services manage product stock, known in the industry as SKUs. This led to the name Visku, which was seen as the perfect base from which to start redefining the brand’s offerings.
At the same time, Studio North found from set out to help define a clear proposition was essential to ensure a successful market launch and to seize the opportunity. According to an account of the work on the firm’s website, the resulting brand positioning concept, ‘Supply Chain Reimagined,’ reflects Visku’s innovative approach. This strategy provided a cohesive vision for the newly merged business units and a strong, unified message for the market launch.
This was further supported by a new colour palette for Visku’s branding. Aiming to represent Visku’s dynamic and adaptable nature, the firm developed an animated brand logo mark with fluid, evolving elements. The identity serves as a metaphor for the flexibility inherent in Visku’s approach and communicates the interconnected points of a global supply chain. Meanwhile, the bold colour palette and confident brand language were intentionally crafted to convey Visku’s extensive expertise, built on decades of industry experience.
Speaking on the changes, Debbie Britton, the CMO of Visku, explained, “Visku’s brand programme was intricate – bringing together a business reorganisation and a complex proposition with multiple target audiences. Studio North was able to provide cut-through, bringing a clarity of thought and strategic direction alongside impactful creative that has proven to engage both employees and external decisionmakers. In partnership with them, we were able to deliver a full programme of brand transformation activities that has moved the organisation into a new, exciting phase of development and growth.”
The design has already caught the eyes of design industry experts, too. As part of the 2025 Transform Awards, the work of Studio North and Visku has been shortlisted for the Best Creative Strategy; Best Corporate Rebrand Following a Merger or Acquisition; and Best Visual Identity from the Transport and Logistics Sector categories.
Companies and agencies entering the Transform Awards have their work benchmarked against their peers and stand out amongst competitors. Commenting on the news via LinkedIn, Jo Stevens, website and design lead at Visku, explained, “Being involved in the launch of Visku and contributing to the new identity has definitely been one of the highlights of my career. It’s so rewarding to see the brand being recognised alongside Studio North. I’m excited to continue evolving the brand and pushing creative boundaries in 2025 and beyond!”
