Volvo XC60 gets a stylish upgrade in India: Full price and features inside
New Delhi: Volvo has refreshed its XC60 SUV for the Indian market, launching the facelifted model at a price of Rs 71.90 lakh (ex-showroom). This is a minor jump from the outgoing model, which was priced at Rs 70.75 lakh. The new version gets updated features inside and out and is meant to keep the XC60 sharp in a premium SUV segment packed with German rivals.
Globally, the XC60 is one of Volvo’s best performers, with over 2.7 million units sold to date. The facelifted version brings small but meaningful tweaks across design, technology, and comfort to appeal to urban buyers who want a feature-rich SUV without stepping into the full-size luxury segment.
Volvo XC60 Facelift changes: What’s new on the outside
The silhouette remains largely the same, but the face gets some fresh work. The grille now features diagonal slats. The front bumper is cleaner and gets a new design around the air vents. The LED tail-lamps have been smoked for a more aggressive finish. Even the alloy wheels have been reworked to match the cleaner overall styling.
Volvo is also offering the XC60 facelift in new colours including Mulberry Red and Forest Green, which weren’t available on the previous model. These colours add a bit more variety to the SUV’s otherwise minimalist exterior appeal.
Inside the cabin of XC60:
Inside, the facelifted XC60 features a large 11.2-inch standalone touchscreen infotainment system powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Cockpit Platform. This setup allows over-the-air updates and promises better graphics and response times. Volvo has also reworked the software interface to be more intuitive.
In terms of creature comforts, the SUV gets Nappa leather upholstery, new mesh-style speaker grilles, and a minimalist dashboard design. Audio is handled by a 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins system. The 12.3-inch driver’s display remains unchanged.
Other features include:
- Ventilated and heated front seats with massage function
- Multi-zone climate control
- Panoramic sunroof
- 360-degree camera
- ADAS safety suite
Under the hood: Same engine, mild hybrid boost
Mechanically, the SUV remains the same. It uses the familiar 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid setup. The B5 AWD Mild Hybrid produces 247 bhp and 360 Nm of torque, and is mated to an 8-speed torque converter automatic. Power is sent to all four wheels.
While it doesn’t aim to thrill with performance, the XC60 does promise smoother starts and better efficiency with the mild-hybrid tech.
Competition check: Where it stands
The XC60 facelift enters a competitive space with some big names:
- BMW X3
- Audi Q5
- Mercedes-Benz GLC
While the Germans focus more on sportiness and aggressive design, Volvo has always taken a calmer, more mature route. The facelift does just enough to keep the XC60 relevant in a market that often leans heavily on brand value and flash.
