Walton Goggins Reunites with ‘White Lotus’ Co-Star on ‘SNL’ for Musical Sketch
There was a “White Lotus” reunion during this weekend’s episode of “Saturday Night Live.”
Walton Goggins hosted “SNL” for the first time May 10, alongside musical guest Arcade Fire. The “Righteous Gemstones” star got to show off his comedic chops throughout the night, including in the musical sketch, “Tiny Baby Shoe.”
The sketch followed Jane Wickline and Heidi Gardner as they walked through a zoo. Gardner was in the middle of telling Wickline a story before she spotted a single baby shoe abandoned on the ground, losing all focus.
Wickline encouraged Gardner to go on without her before diving into a dramatic song about the “tiny baby shoe.”
“Somewhere there is a tiny Cinderella, well I’m coming for you little fella,” Wickline sang at a keyboard placed over a grand piano. “I got your shoe, so put it on, nice to meet you, now I’m your mom. If you’ve got a mom, well, now you’ve got two.”
Wickline dedicated her day to finding the shoe’s rightful owner and fantasized about her future life, though none of the children she came across had the right sized feet.
However, things began to look up for Wickline when she heard a voice behind her claiming ownership of the shoe. Except that person wasn’t a baby.
It was Walton Goggins with baby feet.
“I’m a fully grown a– man with tiny baby feet,” Goggins sang. “And I’d really be so grateful if you’d give my shoe back to me.”
Wickline initially celebrated finding the owner of the tiny baby shoe, though Goggins seemed to have other ideas when it came to the exchange, singing, “Surely this is fate! And you and I will date!”
The music came to a halting stop when Wickline said no and expressed confusion. Goggins explained the situation, adding, “You and I are going to date now, right? Because you found my shoe.”
Wickline clarified that she was looking for a baby, not a man, to which Goggins pointed out, “No, you thought you were looking for a baby, but you were looking for me. Ding dong, bing bong, here I am!”

Goggins got carried away with his fantasy life with Wickline, who had to interject and clarify once again that they were indeed not a couple just because she found his shoe.
“Well damn,” he said, disappointed. “I’m being straight up gaslighted right now.”
After feeling dejected about Wickline’s response to him not being man enough for her, Goggins began crying. She tried to console him, but he sent her away so he could be alone.
“I’d walk away myself, but I’m tired,” Goggins cried. “I’ve already walked like 45,000 steps today. I’ve only been awake for like 20 minutes.”
The sketch immediately cut to Goggins’ co-star from “The White Lotus,” Sam Rockwell, who appeared as himself.
“I think we’ve all learned a very valuable lesson today,” Rockwell said. “Cinderella rules aren’t real-life rules.”
Wickline interrupted his monologue and told him to mind his own business, which agitated the actor. He defended his presence in the park, clarifying that his job was to make balloon animals.
Goggins tried to tell him that they were “all set” to dismiss him, but that only made Rockwell angrier.
“You know what, I don’t need to explain myself to you, to you,” Rockwell declared. “I’m leaving, I’m out of here!”
Rockwell was poised for a dramatic exit, except for the fact that he too had baby feet and his speedy exit was prolonged by his teeny, tiny steps.

Rockwell wasn’t the only surprise guest cameo during the episode.
Former cast member Cecily Strong returned to Studio 8H, reprising her over-the-top impression of Jeanine Pirro for the show’s cold open.
Her appearance included a long-running bit from her time portraying Pirro at the “Weekend Update” desk, which always included her spitting up all over Colin Jost.
