Depending on where you live in Idaho, you may not have a drive-in movie theater around, but that doesn’t mean you can’t go to one. You may have to drive a bit, but sometimes it is worth it to enjoy something like a summer night at a drive-in movie theater. According to Google, there are five drive-in movie theaters in the state, with two to the east, including Motor Vu Drive-In in Idaho Falls and Spud Drive-In Theater in Teton County. There are also two near Boise, with the Terrace Drive-In Theatre in Caldwell and the Parma Motor Vu Drive-In Theatre in Parma. Lastly, there is one to the north with the Sunset Auto Vu Drive-In Movie Theater in Grangeville.

If you haven’t been to the drive-in lately, you are missing out. It is a must for everyone at least once in the summer, and it is worth the drive to do it. Load up the car, or put a sofa in the back of your truck, and make a night of it, taking your children and friends to the drive-in movie. Depending on where you go and when, you can catch some new movies or some classics and watch them the old-fashioned way. It is an experience, and like going back in time, and it typically is cheaper than the cinema as well.
Time is ticking away on summer, and if you haven’t been yet, now is the time to head to the drive-in movies in Idaho. Click the link to the closest theater to you in the second paragraph above to find out what is showing and when, and pick a time and night that works best, and head out to the drive-in theater this summer.
