Although “Sirens,” a new show starring Meghann Fahy, Julianne Moore and Milly Alcock, isn’t about mermaids, there sure are a lot of coastal views.
“Sirens” is set on the fictional island of Port Haven, where a billionaire’s wife and her assistant have a charged relationship. The isolated setting is important to the plot, especially when outsiders burst into the elite enclave.
The images are enough to make audiences long for summer. But where is the fictional island? And is it possible for people to go experience the gorgeous setting in real life? Read on to see.

Where is ‘Sirens’ filmed?
The show looks like it was filmed in a New England vacation destination — but it wasn’t.
Production designer John Paino told Elle Decor that “Sirens” wasn’t filmed in Nantucket, an elite escape off the coast of Massachusetts, because of the crowds.
“We were shooting in the summer, so right off the bat, we weren’t going to go to Nantucket,” he said. “When people buy a house out there, they want to use it.”

Instead, Paino told the outlet “Sirens” was filmed in Lloyd Harbor, New York and multiple parts of Long Island.
Lloyd Harbor is a village on the North Shore of Long Island characterized as a “Hamptons alternative” by a real estate agent interviewed by the New York Times.
This stands as a contrast to Netflix’s other recent New England-set show, “Perfect Couple,” which was partially filmed in Massachusetts.
Is the Kells’ mansion a real house?
The Kells’ mansion, called the Cliff House in the show, is a real home in Northport, Long Island, a town about 20 minutes from Lloyd Harbor.
Paino told Elle Decor set designers added to the real house to make it bigger. It “wasn’t as large as we needed, and we built heavily, but it already had an incredible cliff,” he said.
The interior shots of the home were filmed in a set in Steiner Studios in Brooklyn, per the publication — so Cliff House isn’t a real place.

Exterior shots of the forest and landscape were filmed at Caumsett State Historic Park Preserve in Lloyd Harbor, New York, per Netflix’s Tudum.
The preserve is open to the public. According to the preserve’s website, biking, equestrian trails, fishing, food, hiking and snowshoeing/x-country skiing are all available at the Long Island location.
