World Bank delegation lauds state govt schemes | Ranchi News
Ranchi: A high-level delegation, including the World Bank’s country director for India, Auguste Tano Kouame, met chief minister Hemant Soren at the Jharkhand Bhawan in New Delhi on Wednesday. During the meeting, Kouame praised the state govt’s flagship programme for economic development and poverty alleviation in Jharkhand, the information & public relations department (IPRD) said in a statement.Soren informed the delegation about the ongoing efforts in rural economic development, renewable energy, tourism, production, agriculture, education, and natural resources, as well as investment opportunities in the state. Kouame and his team shared experiences from World Bank-supported projects in India and expressed their willingness to assist the state govt in strengthening development plans, programme design, and implementation mechanisms to benefit the citizens of the state. Both parties agreed to continue the dialogue and organize a joint discussion and workshop in Ranchi to establish meaningful collaboration, it said.
