WSC Sports in multi-year Kings League automated content tie-up
New-look soccer venture Kings League, the brainchild of Spanish former soccer star Gerard Piqué, has struck a deal with AI-powered video content provider WSC Sports.
Through a multi-year partnership unveiled today (July 16), Kings League – launched in 2022 – will adopt a range of WSC Sports solutions “to scale content creation across its rapidly expanding global footprint.”
The aim is to enable Kings League, in which teams are run by popular internet streamers and influencers, to instantaneously create, manage, and distribute video content that is specifically tailored to different platforms and audiences.
WSC Sports has said it will bring in solutions featuring real-time content automation, as well as streamlined distribution tools, to the series.
Guillem Barquin, Kings League’s global video director, has said: “WSC Sports gives us the scale, speed, and creative flexibility to deliver the content our audience expects, instantly and everywhere. As Kings League expands globally, we need technology partners who can move at our pace.”
Kings League now has a presence in multiple European countries, including Spain, France, Germany, and Italy, as well as in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and Latin America regions.
Its MENA regional tournament was launched through a tie-up between Kings League and SURJ Sports Investments, the sports arm of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), announced in late May.

In April, WSC Sports completed the acquisition of the Engines 365 fan engagement solution from Infront Lab, the technology arm of the Infront sports and media agency.
The acquisition has allowed WSC Sports to expand its tech offering with the Stream Engine OTT platform for streaming service management and the Content Engine social media content management system, allowing clients to ramp up their digital fan engagement activities.
