Xpeng Founder He Xiaopeng Advocates for Focus on Efficiency, AI Integration, and Global Expansion for 2025

According to a report by Chinese tech media LatePost, He Xiaopeng, CEO of Xpeng Motors, issued an all-staff letter recently. In the letter, approximately a thousand words in length, he reflected on the company’s efficiency improvements in 2024 and outlined his expectations for 2025.

He Xiaopeng advocated for more efficient meetings, discouraging long, large, or inconclusive gatherings. He also recommended that employees book airline tickets at least two days in advance and opt for shared accommodations over single rooms when possible, aiming to reduce unnecessary expenses. Additionally, he urged employees to fully utilize AI tools.

In 2024, Xpeng Motors implemented a series of strategies to increase meeting efficiency. As a result, nearly 70% of meetings were shortened, and over 80% of meeting minutes were automatically generated and associated with follow-up tasks. Throughout the year, this system was used to automatically generate minutes for 160,000 meetings, enhancing efficiency by 20-25%.

Xpeng Motors also promoted a shift away from elaborate PowerPoint presentations, favoring online collaboration instead. Over the past year, collaboration through cloud documents has replaced non-essential offline meetings, accounting for more than 30% of all collaborative work. PowerPoint usage was kept minimal, reserved only for new car launches.

In an internal letter at the end of the previous year, He Xiaopeng predicted that the automotive industry would enter a phase of elimination between 2025 and 2027. He anticipated fierce market competition in 2025, even suggesting that a price war could start as early as January.

He Xiaopeng also expressed his belief that the next decade would be dominated by AI, with its impact surpassing that of the mobile internet era in terms of scale and duration. He emphasized that no one could resist this trend and that early adopters of AI would have a significant advantage. With Xpeng currently leading in the AI field, he proposed transforming the company into a global leader in AI automotive technology, excelling in products, business, organization, and globalization.

In 2025, Xpeng Motors plans to introduce several new models, each fully equipped with Xpeng‘s proprietary AI technology. The company expects to release major new products or updates nearly every quarter. Over the next three years, Xpeng‘s core strategy is to focus on a select few high-quality, differentiated products with global appeal.

On the topic of globalization, Xpeng Motors has already expanded into 30 countries and regions. By the end of this year, the company aims to enter over 60 countries and regions. Looking forward to the next decade, Xpeng Motors has set a goal for half of its sales to come from overseas markets.
