ZeroBaseOne’s new album ranks high on Japan’s Apple Music and Line Music charts
ZeroBaseOne‘s latest release is making a strong impact on music charts both in South Korea and abroad.
According to their agency, WakeOne, ZeroBaseOne achieved million-seller status with their fifth mini album, ‘Blue Paradise’, released on February 24. The album surpassed one million copies in sales on its release day.
Upon release, ‘Blue Paradise’ topped the iTunes Top Albums chart in 12 countries and regions worldwide. In South Korea, the album made a strong showing on major streaming platforms, with all tracks, including the title track ‘Blue’, charting on Melon TOP100 and HOT100.
The group’s popularity in Japan is particularly notable. ‘Blue Paradise’ ranked third on Japan’s iTunes Top Albums chart and secured first place on both the K-POP Albums and POP Albums charts. The album also ranked third on Apple Music’s overall album chart while claiming the top spot in both the K-pop and pop album rankings. Additionally, it placed fourth on Amazon’s Digital Music Albums Popularity Ranking, further proving its strong presence in Japan.
The title track ‘Blue’ has also been well received. It ranked third on Japan’s largest music platform, Line Music’s real-time chart, and placed fourth on the daily chart. It also topped the K-pop genre Top 50 rankings. Furthermore, ‘Blue’ secured first place on AWA’s Foreign Songs Top 50 ranking and fifth place on Amazon Music Unlimited’s Rising K-pop Hits chart.
Previously, ZeroBaseOne set a personal record with their first Japanese EP, ‘Prezent’, which topped both the Oricon Weekly Albums Chart and the Weekly Combined Albums Chart. Following the success of ‘Prezent’, the group continues to gain momentum in Japan with ‘Blue Paradise’, fueling the “ZB1 phenomenon” in the country.
Meanwhile, ZeroBaseOne is set to perform their comeback stage on SBS’s Inkigayo on March 2.
