Zetwerk Launches Cutting Edge IT Hardware Facility Near Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Jun 11 (KNN) Zetwerk Manufacturing, a leading Indian electronics contract manufacturer, has initiated construction of a new advanced production facility in Devanahalli, on Bengaluru’s outskirts.

This marks the first of three planned IT hardware units, in partnership with Smile Electronics, with upcoming sites in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.

The Devanahalli facility will feature end-to-end automation, including assembly, testing, and packing of IT hardware products such as desktops, laptops, and energy meters.

With its launch, Smile Electronics expands its production footprint to four factories, with Zetwerk at the core of this growth.

These factories bring India closer to self-reliance in IT hardware production. They offer enhanced capabilities to tap into both domestic and global markets, aligning with national initiatives to boost electronics manufacturing.

Additionally, they strengthen India’s competitiveness as a “China plus one” manufacturing hub .

Earlier in 2025, Zetwerk announced plans to begin server manufacturing in India by FY26 and ramp up laptop production through MoUs with global firms from Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea.

Its advanced electronics facility in Tamil Nadu employs around 1,200 specialists and includes five SMT and MI lines, among other high-precision equipment.

These developments reflect Zetwerk’s broader vision to pioneer electronics manufacturing in India.

With plans for an IPO in 15–24 months, aiming to raise $500 million, the expansion underpins its ambitions to scale and strengthen India’s presence in the global electronics supply chain.

By embedding automation, international partnerships, and strategic infrastructure across multiple states, Zetwerk is redefining India’s IT hardware manufacturing landscape-growing a robust domestic ecosystem capable of meeting global demand.
