Chappell Roan has boldly claimed she may have ‘one of the best record deals ever in modern music’ as her career goes from strength to strength.
The Pink Pony Club hitmaker, 26, has experienced a stratospheric rise to fame this year after she performed on US chat shows and her music took off online.
Songs from her debut album, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess – such as Red Wine Supernova, Femininomenon, Casual, HOT TO GO! and My Kink is My Karma – have millions of listens across platforms.
As she continues to ride the wave of success, the pop superstar has opened up on how music labels came knocking after her songs went viral on TikTok.
‘I probably have one of the best record deals ever in modern music because I was like, “F**k you guys, give me what I want or I’m going to do this myself.” Now I can be like, “Look at the numbers, b***h.”‘ Chappell defiantly told THE FACE as part of her cover interview.
The songstress, real name Kayleigh Rose Amstutz, also shed light on her love for dressing up, something she showcased at the MTV Video Music Awards as she donned not one, but two intricate fantasy-inspired looks.

‘Now, I am the girl who does the Britney routine; I am the girl who plays dress-up. I’m making up for that time,’ she continued.
‘When I realised that I should dedicate my career to honouring the childhood I never got, it got big quick.’
Chappell also reflected on her struggles with fame, and how fellow singer Lorde has helped her come to terms with it.

‘I feel like fame is just abusive. The vibe of this – stalking, talking s**t online, [people who] won’t leave you alone, yelling at you in public – is the vibe of an abusive ex-husband. That’s what it feels like. I didn’t know it would feel this bad,’ she added.
She went on to say that while crying in an airport bathroom, she texted Lorde for advice who ‘sent her a list of things I should do [in that situation].’
The star was recently praised by fans for asserting her boundaries during a fiery confrontation with a photographer at the VMAs.

Off camera, the photographer was heard shouting, ‘Shut the f**k up,’ at the singer, but the pop megastar wasn’t going to let him get away with it as she span around, pointed her finger and said: ‘No, you shut the f**k up!’
Then, wearing a queenly floor-length draping mesh brown dress and her long red hair wrapped in ribbons, Chappell added with a flourish of some mega-long nails: ‘No, not me b***h.’

She later opened up on what caused the spat, telling Entertainment Tonight: ‘This is quite overwhelming and quite scary.
‘I think for someone who gets a lot of anxiety around people yelling at you, the carpet is horrifying and I yelled back. I yelled back, you don’t get to yell at me like that.’
