⁠ Amazon India expands fulfillment network with three new centres

E-commerce giant Amazon India has strengthened its logistics capabilities with the launch of three new fulfillment centres located in Delhi NCR, Guwahati, and Patna.

The new fulfillment centres will collectively offer 1.2 million cubic feet of storage space and support over 2.5 lakh sellers in these regions.

Additionally, the addition of these centres is expected to generate employment for thousands of people across the region.

Commenting on the expansion, Abhinav Singh, vice president of operations at Amazon India in a statement said, “We have added three new fulfilment centres to our existing pan-India operations network that consists of over 43 million cubic feet of storage space, sort centres in 19 states, about 2,000 delivery stations, Amazon Air, our partnerships with Indian Railways, India Post and much more.”

Amazon India’s flagship event the ‘Great Indian Festival’ sale will commence on September 26. The festive season which begins with this sale event is expected to create over 1.1 lakh seasonal job opportunities across its operations network.
