Filipino international hospitality students complete Thailand immersion

Fifteen hospitality students from Vatel Manila completed a summer exchange program in Bangkok, Thailand, joining peers from Vatel sister schools in China, India, and the United Kingdom.

The program was hosted by Silpakorn University International College (SUIC), led by Dean Chombhak Klangrahad.

The immersion included hands-on lectures and workshops by industry experts, covering topics such as cultural heritage, Thai beliefs, and Thai cuisine. Participants also took part in discussions on intercultural communication and Thai design and branding.

The students toured key cultural sites, including the Historic City of Ayutthaya, where they explored the former capital of the Siamese Kingdom in traditional Thai attire.

The Filipino delegation was composed of students from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) International Hospitality Management program and accompanied by Benilde educator Ferdie de Leon III.

Vatel, an international hospitality network, partners with DLS-CSB to offer the Bachelor of Science in International Hospitality Management under the new guidelines of the Commission on Higher Education.
