Friends of Music hosts fundraiser for UL music scholarships | Entertainment/Life

“Teach Me Tonight” was the theme for an evening of great music, food and fun to benefit the scholarship program for the UL Lafayette School of Music and Performing Arts.

The “Teach Me Tonight” event was held on Friday, Oct. 18 at the Warehouse in Lafayette. Guests were treated to performances by talented UL Music students and faculty who performed a variety of show tunes that got the crowd going. There was also dancing and a silent auction.

The Friends of Music Acadiana is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for scholarships for students in the School of Music and Performing Arts. The scholarships benefit students based on merit and need.

The Friends group has been part of some amazing events, including choral performances and concerts that have been top notch. We know the ladies behind the music, so to speak, and they also are top notch. When they are involved, things usually succeed. Congratulations ladies and the amazing student singers on a great show!
