Beyond the mystery brew, the shirt comes with an unusual backstory. According to Pop Culture Coffee, delays in accessing Sony’s artwork led the company to create original designs before discovering its licensing rights didn’t cover Stay Puft. With shirts already produced, the Warhol Puft design was registered as a Mini-Puft product, resulting in what the company calls an “error shirt.”
