Mews, the Amsterdam-based hotel technology company that started with property-management software in 2012, has expanded well beyond that original product into payments, point of sale, revenue management, events, housekeeping and, increasingly, AI and financial services. Mews now describes itself as an operating system for hotels, an ambition that has helped make it one of the faster-growing companies in hotel technology and has attracted enough investor capital to give it a $2.5 billion valuation.
Skift went through Mews’ filings and corporate records across the Netherlands, UK, and Czech Republic, along with investor disclosures, to understand the business underneath that valuation.
