Ethereum spot ETFs lost $201.9 million on October 6, their largest single-day outflow in three weeks and a sixth straight session of withdrawals, per SoSoValue’s daily fund record. Bitcoin ETFs took in $118.9 million the same day.
Six Sessions Have Pulled $407.8 Million From ETH Funds
The streak began on September 29 and had removed $407.8 million through October 6, per SoSoValue. It is the longest outflow run for the funds since a nine-day stretch from June 17 to 30.
The reversal cuts both ways. In the seven sessions before the streak started, Ethereum ETFs drew $850.8 million. The withdrawals have since erased nearly half of that.
Ethereum was not the only group losing money. Zcash funds shed $89 million and Solana funds lost $23.2 million over the same six sessions, while Bitcoin ETFs recorded $239 million in net inflows across them. That leaves the October 6 print uneven inside a single day: $201.9 million out of Ethereum products and $118.9 million into Bitcoin products.
ETH Held Flat While the Funds Bled, Then Broke Lower
ETH gained 0.33% between September 29 and October 6 on Binance even as the ETFs were losing money, then broke lower on October 6. It dropped to an intraday low of $2,591.71 on Binance and traded at $2,617.76 at press time, down 2.90% over 24 hours.
CoinGlass data showed $164.88 million in ETH long positions liquidated over the same 24 hours, against $10.22 million in shorts. Longs accounted for almost all of it.
Premium, Queues and Sentiment Lean the Same Way
CryptoQuant’s Coinbase Premium Index has stayed below zero since early September and reads -0.007, a reading that has not recovered with price.
Staking flows turned as well. The validator exit queue held zero ETH in mid-September and now stands at 837,187 ETH. The entry queue is still larger at 1.41 million ETH, but it is shrinking.
Exchange balances offer the opposite signal. CryptoQuant shows 14.7 million ETH on exchanges, down from roughly 21 million in mid-2025, so fewer coins are sitting where they can be sold quickly.
Sentiment moved with price. Bearish social-media posts about ETH outnumbered bullish ones as October began, the weakest reading since June 7.
The Levels That Would Settle It
Analyst Ted Pillows marks first support between $2,547 and $2,565. Losing that band opens a path toward roughly $2,190. To the upside, ETH would first need to reclaim resistance near $2,760 to $2,800.
Those are his levels, not ours, but they map onto the flow data cleanly. Hold $2,547 and the six-day streak stays a drawdown inside a range. Lose it and the next reference is $2,190. Reclaim $2,800 and the bearish read is invalidated.
